Weekly Status:

This week our team has begun the implementation phase of ITS-Image Tracking System, software application. Our group is now working on learning how to program in visual basic, how to utilize commercial or shareware media players via visual basic scripting, and how to incorporate a MS Access database with a Visual Basic Program. We are also in process of researching how to program and implement a visual basic application using keystroke-programming techniques that should simplify the user interface of our final software package. Due to our groups lack of programming knowledge and experience a great deal of time and effort is being put into learning how to program in MS Visual Basic and Access, and how to interface our software with our video input hardware. A good deal of the hours this week have been but into studying and learning programming code and techniques, and this will continue to be a very time consuming task throughout the rest of the semester. Our team’s ability to learn and implement a software application is of critical importance to the success of our design teams project.
