Weekly Status:
This week our team has continued the implementation
phase of ITS-Image Tracking System, software application. Our group is continuing to work on learning
how to program in visual basic, how to utilize a shareware media player via
visual basic scripting, and how to incorporate a MS Access database with a
Visual Basic Program. This past week we
have spent a great deal of implementing a solution to a problem we were having
with our prototype keystroke application.
We have rectified this problem by using a time correction factor, which
will take the average propagation delay of the user input, and correlate the
time of the system with this correction, so that the necessary segment of video
is played back.
With this solution in place we have been able to
finalize our keystroke application, which captures user inputs and translates
those inputs directly into our ITS program interface. This portion of the project has been very
time consuming, and is a critical component of the overall project. We now have a successfully designed and
implemented keystroke module application, which will have to await final
grooming until the other two key modules of software have been designed.
