Weekly Status:
This week our team has continued the implementation
phase of our ITS-Image Tracking System, software application. Our group is continuing to work on learning
how to program in visual basic, how to utilize a custom developed media player
via visual basic scripting, and how to incorporate a MS Access database with a
Visual Basic Program. We are still
working on completing a prototype application, specifically we are working on
the main application module which is the ITS program.
Our group has begun debugging the media playback
device, and has worked on incorporating a “time seek” function. The team has also been working on adding a
slider bar so to the playback application so that the viewer may progress
through the video to a particular spot without having to “fast-forward.”
This week we have also begun working with the MS
Access database and have had many problems coding with the 2000 and XP versions
of the application. For this reason we
have decided to utilize the compatible MS Access 97 version of the office
program for our project application.
