Abstract

We will be addressing automated and currently non-automated camera controls for professional photographers, specifically in the area of panoramic photo shoots. The main purpose is to centralize all currently automated and non-automated camera controls into one easily controllable handheld device. To do this, our project solution will incorporate as many off the shelve products as possible, and adapt those products to redefine them meeting our own solution’s needs. We will be using the Two Technologies, Inc. 80-series handheld interface device, and interconnect this handheld device with the camera to address the aperture settings carefully. Among the functions available through the handheld device will be the full range of shutter and other aperture settings, automated film advancement, Pan-Tilt position settings, and automated optical focus viewfinder parameters. To automate those controls that currently require manual operation such as the film advancement and optical view finding, we will mostly use IMS programmable stepper motors such as the MDrive17 motors. As a result, professional panoramic photographers will be able to focus more closely on the quality of their services with our accurate control device, driving the market to new competitive highs.
