I am currently a 4 of 4 Computer Engineering major and am
also pursuing a minor in literature. I plan on taking some extra
mathematical courses to bolster my degree and will most likely pursue a
Master's Degree in Computer Engineering or a closely related field. During
my time at Stevens I have worked on various research projects and have
excelled academically. I am currently a member of both Eta Kappa Nu and Tau
Beta Pi and hold the office of Vice President in both organizations.
I am a native of New Jersey and have lived in various parts of the state
for my entire life. My family currently resides in Old Bridge although I
live in Cliffside Park with my grandparents. My heritage is Italian and a
good number of relatives still reside in Italy. My hobbies include building
PC's and just about anything related to computers, soccer, volleyball, body
surfing, and electric guitar. I currently am the lead guitarist in a rock
band that plays shows at local venues. In my spare time, though there is
usually not much, I like to sit on the beach and do absolutely nothing.

Michael Frank’s main interests lie in
information systems and computer hardware. Michael will be working for The
Vanguard Group after graduation from Stevens Institute of Technology in May
2003 where he plans to continue his education with computer information
systems. Michael’s long term goals involve getting a Master’s Degree in
wireless communication and getting his MBA.
His hobbies range from playing the
clarinet with the Stevens Dramatic Society to running the campus television
station. Baseball is his favorite sport where he follows the Boston Red Sox
and looks forward to the year that they will win the World Series.
Michael Frank, from Waterbury, Vermont,
is currently a senior majoring in Computer Engineering.

I'm a computer engineering and literature major heralded from
New Brunswick, New Jersey. My interests lie in information systems and
hardware engineering, where I would like to apply my experience in
information technology to advance my knowledge. I foresee myself obtaining a
Master's in management in the forthcoming future, and climbing the corporate
ladder to a managerial position. My extensive education plans involve a
doctorate degree in literature, since I would like to retire one day and
teach Chaucerian literature.
My hobbies lie in various areas, ranging from music to sports to movies.
I enjoy listening to live concerts of the Dave Matthews Band and of Pearl
Jam. I also am an avid sports fan, with team interests lying in the Yankees,
New York Rangers, Cowboys, and Knicks. I also spend an expansive amount of
time in my fraternity, Alpha Sigma Phi. I value my connection to my
fraternity heavily, and the time I have spent there as immeasurable.

I'm a computer engineering student at Stevens Institute of
Technology from Marlboro, New Jersey. I have acquired a good deal of
knowledge from the time I spent and am still spending working at Vonage Inc.
(http://www.vonage.com/), a Voice over IP based telecommunications company.
I have served and continue to serve as a Linux Systems Administrator, a
profession I hope to attain upon graduation.
I currently work on the Stute, the Stevens campus newspaper, where I edit
and have my own column in which I discuss happenings that involve civil
rights and liberties.

I am an Electrical Engineering major and
will be graduating with High Honors in Spring 2004. Throughout my time here
at Stevens I have gained knowledge in a variety of subjects including
Digital Signal Processing, Circuits and Systems, and Leadership Studies.
Over this time, I have also managed to balance a rigorous work schedule with
organization commitments. For the year of 2002, I was President of Alpha
Sigma Phi Fraternity and was President of Eta Kappa Nu, the
Electrical and Computer Engineering Honor Society, from Fall 2003 through
Spring 2004 of my senior year. I was also a member of the
Awards Committee for Alpha Phi Omega, the National Service Fraternity on
campus, over the same time. In the future, I would like to complete a Masters degree in Project
Management. My work experience includes three years (and counting) at the
Stevens Institute of Technology's Information Technology Department where I
have served as a PC Assistant, Information Technology Assistant and
currently Consultant. I have also worked for the Department of Defense
at Fort Monmouth, NJ, for the Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and Sensors
Directorate. Here I was a member of the project management team for PEO IEWS
DCGS-A (Distributed Common Ground Station - Army). Upon graduation, I will
begin working for Johnson & Johnson as a member of their Information
Management Leadership Development Program (IMLDP) with a first rotation at
Ortho Biotech (OBI) in Bridgewater, New Jersey.
Born in Point Pleasant, NJ, I currently reside in Hoboken, NJ, where I am
completing my Bachelor's in EE. The rest of my immediate family currently
resides in Howell, NJ, where I have lived most of my life. My hobbies
include playing basketball, watching movies, participating in my
fraternities, and listening to music.

Bruce McNair is Distinguished Service Professor of
Electrical and Computer Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology,
Hoboken, NJ. He is also Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Novidesic
Communications, LLC, a technology consulting company. Prior to starting
Novidesic and joining the faculty at Stevens in 2002, he spent 24 years at
AT&T Bell Laboratories (AT&T Labs - Research after the Lucent spin-off). His
most recent work there was research of next generation (4G and beyond)
wireless data communications systems, including high-speed, high mobility
wide area networks as well as range and speed extensions to 802.11(a & b)
wireless LANs.
Prior to joining the wireless research organization, Mr.
McNair established and managed a well-funded security and systems
reliability architecture group for many years. In this role, he and his
group consulted with AT&T customers and business units on computer and
network security issues, security technologies, as well as security
assessment techniques. Mr. McNair's prior activities at Bell Labs included
development of encryption hardware, secure voice architecture studies,
high-speed voice-band modems, and public data network protocols. Before
joining Bell Labs, he spent seven years developing military communications
systems for the US Army Electronics Command and ITT Defense Communications
Division. His responsibilities included cryptographic and ECCM techniques
for portable radio systems, TEMPEST technology, and state-of-the-art speech
compression techniques.
Mr. McNair received his B.E. (with Honor) and M.E. in
Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. He is a Senior
Member of the IEEE and belongs to the Communications and Signal Processing
Societies.
