Include
discussion of what you accomplished this week, who you contacted, what
decisions were made, what obstacles were identified, how they are being
addressed. ·
This week we had another group meeting in the
Wireless Research Lab. We're going to
focus on three GSM Providers (Cingular, T-mobile, and Sprint). We're in the process of researching their
licensed bands. It's a bit more
challenging than we thought. We also
began discussing the system design. We
talked about the possibility of placing one COM block in the library, another
in the HOWE center, and the third inside WINsec. ·
When the code is complete, which should be by the
end of February, we will take data to see if our selections are optimal (not
too much noise). If not, then we will
reposition the COM blocks. ·
This upcoming Tuesday we are going to have another
meeting with Prof. Tureli to discuss our preliminary system design. ·
In addition, we will be looking at our COM blocks
to study our limits, to decide for how long we should take data (i.e. days or
hours) so that we can ideally design a good system. ·
By the end of next week, we should have our chosen
spectrum frequencies and our system design almost complete. |
