Weekly status:

Include discussion of what you accomplished this week, who you contacted, what decisions were made, what obstacles were identified, how they are being addressed.

·        This week we had another group meeting in the Wireless Research Lab.  We addressed the issue of the COM blocks' limitations.  We realized that the COM blocks only supported frequencies of up to 1000 MHz.  In order to be able to collect data from the 1900 MHz frequency range for GSM providers, we needed to use COM block 3006 and not 3005.  Fortunately, there was a 3006 available in WinSec so that problem was solved.

·        We also had some additional questions for Nilay that we discussed.  We ended up meeting with Nilay on Thursday, where he answered our questions as well as informed us that the Matlab code was ready and that only debugging was needed.

·        We also had a meeting with Prof. Tureli and kept him up-to-date on what we were doing.  He also told us that we could look at the data collecting in two ways.  We could either look at various channels used by one provider or we could look at the differences in signal transmissions of various providers.

·        We're going to be collecting data at 10 minute intervals.  After we collect our first set of data, possibly it will be easier to see if we want to change the locations of the COM blocks.  As for now, we're keeping one in the WinSec lab, the second in the Wireless Research Lab, and the third possibly in the room by the Computer Lab.

·        This upcoming week we should be able to start taking data.

·        As for the website, all documents are up and we want to add more links, as well as some pictures of our COM blocks and set up.
