Include discussion of
what you accomplished this week, who you contacted, what decisions were
made, what obstacles were identified, how they are being addressed. ·
This week we had another
group meeting in the Wireless Research Lab. We
had a minor setback this week. We hoped to
have had the code ready by Tuesday so that data acquisition could begin. However, the code still needed some debugging
and, hopefully, it will be ready this coming Tuesday.
·
Instead, this week we
focused on how and where we were going to save our data samples. We thought of a few possibilities for data
storage. One idea was to save the data on
a team member's external drive and then use DVD burners in the Physics
Department at NYU to burn the data onto DVDs. A
second idea was to purchase a DVD burner with the money set aside for
us by Stevens. We're leaning more towards
the first idea. ·
As for the website, all
recent documents have been posted, as well as plenty more links. We are in the process of taking pictures of
our system set up to post that as well. ·
The group began
brainstorming on locations around campus for the COM blocks once they
are up and running. We noticed that there are a few "dead zones"
around campus where cell phone calls are usually dropped (ex. Between
the Babbio and Burchard building, near the park, etc.). It would
be interesting to collect data in and around these areas. ·
We hope that the code
will be ready by this Tuesday so next week we should have some
interesting information to report. |
