Shant Stepanian - Group Leader
Major:
Computer Engineer

Shant is a member of the cooperative education program, through which he has gained experienced in software engineering. This past summer, he worked with UBS in the Marketing and Communications Website group. On campus, Shant is involved with a number of groups, such as the .NET Users Group, Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity, and Concert Band.

Matthew Conforth
Major: 
Computer Engineering

Matthew is a year-round part time employee at BAE Systems CNIR division.  He has programming experience in networking, multimedia, mass storage, embedded realtime systems, and development kits.  Matthew is most proficient in C++ and Java.  He also has some experience with Perl, shell scripting, assembly language (MIPS, x86, PPC), Lisp, and others.  Matthew is skilled with a soldering iron, and has had some experience working with PCBs.

 

Nicole Young
Major: 
Computer Engineering

Nicole has been very active within the theater groups on campus. She has worked for DeBaun Auditorium and held the positions of Vice President, Stage Manager, Costumes Coordinator, and Properties Coordinator for the Stevens Dramatic Society. She is also active within the Photography Club and is currently Secretary. Nicole is a member of the cooperative education program. Through this, she is currently employed with Marsh USA Inc. as part of the Server Management group. Before this she was a project engineer at Automated Control Concepts working with teams to automate chemical production lines and electrical facilities.

Jameela Al-Jaroodi
Faculty Advisor

Jameela Al-Jaroodi is a Research Assistant Professor at The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Stevens Institute of Technology. Her research interest is in distributed systems, which includes middleware, distributed software for heterogeneous systems, ad-hoc networks, sensor networks, and software engineering for distributed systems. She published more than 30 articles in Journals and Conferences. Dr. Al-Jaroodi received her doctoral degree from The Computer Science and Engineering Department at The University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2004; her master degree from Western Michigan University in 1998; and her bachelor degree from The University of Bahrain in 1993.
