There are numerous situations where it is dangerous for humans to control machinery. The use of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) has helped take humans away from dangerous situations and let system programming and satellite control through GPS possible. Controlling a robot or platform using GPS has many different uses. Designing a platform that will use GPS to guide it through a situation can be used in mine detection, rescue operations, and lawn mowing. The GPS guided platform will be universal and can be manipulated to fit a certain criteria or situation. The platform will use a motor driven system to control the wheels. A Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) will be established between the platform and the main computer to establish the use of GPS. The GPS will communicate to the Platform via the WLAN. Manipulating the device will be controlled by a main computer at a desired destination. This device will allow for control of a specified platform from a destination that can be determined as needed.
