Edward (Ted) Schneider
Bio

Ted was born in 1984 in Staten Island, and lived there until coming to Stevens Institute of Technology (studying Electrical Engineering) in Fall 2002. Prior to that, his education included high school and junior high at Staten Island Academy. In high school, Ted participated in a wide array of extracurricular activities, including theater, music, volleyball, soccer, cross-country running, golf, and the Boy Scouts of America.  Recently, Ted completed his 6th semester at Stevens, passing with pretty good marks. He contributed to the workshop on the applied science problem that was held at Stevens during the beginning of May.  In addition, he participates regularly in the Stevens Scholars Program.

 

Richard Lemence

Richard has just completed a 3rd year at Stevens.  He expects to graduate with a B.E in Computer Engineering and Minor in Electrical Engineering and Art. He has a great interest in robotics and embedded systems and enjoys low level programming and building these wonderful autonomous machines.  Computing has always been a passion of his and he endeavors to learn as much as he can about them.

Sheila Sun

Sheila Sun was born in 1983, and moved to America at the age of two. She went back to China in 1989 and received seven years of educational training. Prior to the arrival to Stevens Institute of Technology, she has completed high school in Academy of Saint Elizabeth and gained an Associate degree in Information Systems from County College of Morris. Her undergraduate study is in Computer Engineering, while her graduate study concentrates in Pure Mathematics. She is on the National Dean’s List throughout her college career.

Sheila was member of the Choir and Volleyball team while in high school.  She became a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society during the years at County College of Morris.   She expanded her interests in more dimensions by participating wider range of extracurricular activities, including Track and Filed, Stevens Christian Fellowship, Eta Kappa Nu Honor Society, Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, Chinese Student Association, Korean Students Association, Soup Kitchen, Billiard, DDR, Tau Beta Pi Pi Mile Run and Monsters Diversity Leadership program. 

As a recipient of several scholarships, Sheila also participated in the Co-op Two-year Pilot Program in her junior year.  During the summer of 2004, she also worked as one of the first few Technogenesis Summer Scholars. For more information about her project, please go to

After her graduation on May 25th, Sheila is either taking the PHD candidate offer or work as an entry level Engineer/Business Analyst. She recently received the Student Employee of the Year award from the Academic Support Center for being an excellent Tutor and Mentor for the past three years.
